Got the gal running like a top, ended up smashing the paper filter int he carb thus causing fuel issues, replaced it with a shorter brass bead one. and put a  inline filter in before the pump. took it out got 3 miles on it and then it died, and wont suck gas up now. So plan to pull the tank this weekend and see whats up. The little 194 buzzing 1/2 dozen is a dog, plan to drive this on the interstate, so this will have to changes. Also starting to notice my camera has areas that aren’t focusing now and resulting in fuzzy spots.

Got the 66 running. Needs a accelerator pump though, plan to get a carb kit later this week to solve my drive ability issues. Other than that it has fresh brake pads,wheel cylinders, rubber brake lines, master cylinder,  new shocks, fresh fluids, new fuel pump, new rubber fuel lines & fuel filter. Have the rest of the stuff for a tune up on it, just want to get it moveable till I can find fenders and a front bumper.

my next daily driver, brought this home a few weeks ago, finally got it running, first load of parts should come in Wednesday, vin inspection next Monday, and will purchase the next load of parts next Friday.

This 1966 Chevy 2 sports a fine AM radio a fairly anemic 194 inline 6 which smokes, with a 3 on the tree, its had some minor body work done to the rear as I can see the filler cracking, however   hardly any rust, been stored inside the last 12 years. The guy I bought ti from use a lot of the parts off this car for his sons 66 Chevy 2. So my search starts for fenders, and a bumper.

Goals are to  swap the single reservoir master cylinder and run a dual, with separate brake lines, for safety. Convert the stock  AM radio to accept  my mp3 player. pull the 194, and swap in a  250 inline 5 thats been  hoped up to make it a little bit more fun, run 3, 1 barrel carbs and split the exhaust running either dual straight pipes or some glass packs. If I could ever find a borg warner over drive I woudl put it on as well. As the goal is to make a street able, yet gas friendly daily.
